“Kvadrilógy” sú najnovším projektom zoskupenia Martin Uherek Quartet, ktorý vznikol na začiatkom roku 2012 a sústredí sa na interpretáciu hudby Thelonia Monka, jedného z najväčších novátorov bebopu a jazzu vôbec. Predstavuje hudobný rozhovor štyroch nástrojov:
saxofón - Martin Uherek
gitara – Peter Palaj
kontrabas – Róbert Ragan Jr.
bicie - Samuel Juráš
Od svojho vzniku je tento projekt pravidelne prezentovaný na jam sessions v Jazz klube 12 v Banskej Bystrici a kvartet s ním vystúpil vo viacerých kluboch na Slovensku, čím sústavne ďalej rozvíja jeho špecifický hudobný jazyk.
“Kvadrilógy” ponúkajú špecifické Monkove disonantné harmónie, pevný rytmický základ, inovačné využitie swingu a energické hranie, typické pre revolučnú dobu 50-tych rokov 20. storočia. Projekt má svoje korene v citlivej komunikácii medzi jednotlivými nástrojmi, vytvárajúc jedinečné hudobné momenty, pričom ostáva verný jazzovej tradícii, čo je typickým znakom prejavu zoskupenia Martin Uherek Quartet.

“Quadrilogues” is the newest project of Martin Uherek Quartet, which was created in spring 2012, and is directed towards interpretation of music of Thelonious Monk, one of the biggest innovators in bebop and jazz in general. It features musical conversation of four instruments:
saxophone - Martin Uherek
guitar – Peter Palaj
double bass – Róbert Ragan Jr.
drums - Samuel Juráš
Since its formation, the project has regularly been featured at jam sessions at Jazz klub 12 in Banska Bystrica, and has since performed in various club settings in Slovakia, constantly further developing its musical language.
“Quadrilogues” present distinct “Monk-ish” dissonant harmonies, strong rhythmic foundation, innovative use of swing, hot playing, typical for the revolutionary times of 1950’s. The band establishes its roots on sensitive communication between the members, creating new musical sounds, while staying true to the jazz tradition, which is characteristic for all projects of Martin Uherek Quartet.
